Where scholarships come from
Funding can come from the Australian Government, universities and other organisations. Many provider scholarships are merit-based and may be automatically assessed, while others require a separate application.
How to search efficiently
- Shortlist actual courses first.
- Open each provider’s scholarship page.
- Check eligibility, intake, award value and closing date.
- Confirm whether international/Nepali applicants are eligible.
- Check whether the award is automatic or requires a separate application.
Government scholarship sources
Study Australia publishes current scholarship information, including Australia Awards and the Research Training Program. Research applicants should also check participating universities directly.
Compare the net cost, not the headline percentage
A 20% scholarship at a higher-fee provider may still cost more than a lower-fee course with a smaller award. Compare the net tuition and total living budget using your own numbers.
